I recently took a flight and found myself soaring above the clouds—blankets of soft white stretching as far as my eyes could see. As I looked out, mesmerized by this breathtaking view, I was overwhelmed by a deep sense of peace. The world below faded away, and for a moment, everything felt still… pure… almost eternal.
Here’s a shot from my window…

It made me think of heaven.
If the view from a plane window can stir my soul like this, I can only imagine the glory of the place God is preparing for us.
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” —1 Corinthians 2:9
Ellen White wrote:
“In the city of God there shall be no night. None will need or desire repose. There will be no weariness in doing the will of God and offering praise to His name. We shall ever feel the freshness of the morning and shall ever be far from its close… All the treasures of the universe will be open to the study of God’s redeemed… And the years of eternity, as they roll, will bring richer and still more glorious revelations of God and of Christ.”
— The Great Controversy, p. 677
Heaven isn’t just a destination—it’s our hope, our healing, and our forever home. Until that day, glimpses like these—above the clouds—remind me to keep looking up.

So Nuggeteers…
The next time you find yourself above the clouds—or even just looking up at them—pause. Breathe. Let that moment remind you: this world is not our final stop. There’s a home being prepared for you, one more glorious than words can describe.
What do you imagine heaven will be like?
Drop a word or phrase in the comments that captures your hope. Let’s encourage one another with a glimpse of glory.
Keep looking up.
Keep walking by faith.
Keep pressing toward that heavenly prize.
